Valentines’ Day has come to mean overpriced florals, a challenge to come up with the most creative gifts and expensive dinner dates or unique getaways. But more importantly, it is a day dedicated to love.
What’s your love expression? For those who work long hours, spending a few hours of quality time with loved ones is probably the best idea. But for some, expressing love and showing appreciation and adoration may come in a different form.
In view of the upcoming season of love, IDS Skincare team got up close and personal with three couples to find out what is the one thing they don’t mind sharing. After all, sharing is caring (and loving).
Couple #1: Ee Xuan & Issac
What they shared: IDS Facial Scrub
For this cute and bubbly couple, IDS Facial Scrub (FS) was first introduced to Ee Xuan. She became an instant convert.
Her verdict: “ This facial scrub is my favourite go-to exfoliant, I really swear by it! On days when I encounter tiny rough spots or when I don’t feel so good about my skin, I will just use FS and… trust me, your skin will be as smooth as a baby’s bottom!”
And of course, good things must share right and so she introduced it to her bf Issac.
His verdict: “ I especially love it when my girlfriend applies the scrub on my face – it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth.” Furthermore, “my girlfriend recommended it so I know the product must be good!”
So much trust! Someone give this guy a #bestbfaward! Who knew that sharing a tube of scrub could be such an act of love!
Couple #2: Melody & Brad
What they shared: IDS Spot Control
Our all-time favourite foodie couple – Melody & Brad share their must-have SOS skincare product.
His verdict: “Spot Control (SC) really works for me and it is one product that I turn to whenever I have a breakout. Although it doesn’t make the zit disappear overnight, one small dollop on the affected area is all I need to soothe the spots and make them less red.”
Her verdict: “Whenever I use SC, I notice that my zit becomes smaller the next day too — just after one application!”
Couple #3: Katelyn & Alaric
What they tried: IDS Aesthetics Hydro Therapeutics Facial (HTF)
“This is the first time ever my boyfriend’s doing a facial! You have no idea how long I have been trying to convince him to do it!” exclaims Katelyn just before their treatment experience.
If you’re wondering, how is this facial suitable for both men and women? The facial consists of double cleansing, micro-dermabrasion and ultrasonic cleansing to help the skin get rid of excess sebum and dead skin cells. After extraction, there will be a round of penetration of Vitamin C (which brightens the skin) and ending with a customized mask. The steps and technology used in the facial are non-gender specific and are customised according to each individual’s skin needs.
We were of course most excited to hear what Alaric has to say about his first facial experience!
His verdict: “I was surprised by how painful (but still bearable) it is getting my face squeezed! But I have to say that I’m really impressed with the results. I could really see and feel a difference in my skin as the whiteheads are cleared and my skin feels bouncier and smoother. I will definitely recommend HTF to anyone who requires a deep cleanse.”
Her verdict: “I love IDS Aesthetics’ facials because they always leave my skin really clear, radiant and smooth! Bf always asks why my skin is so soft and smooth. After trying the facial for himself, he finally knows the reason why.
